Laura Mae Frey

March 19, 1937 — September 3, 2017

Laura Mae Frey, 80, of Manheim, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 3, 2017. Born in Manheim she was the daughter of the late Paul and Elsie Bollinger Greenly. Laura was the loving wife of Herbert B. Frey and they observed their 59th wedding anniversary in March of this year. Laura worked many years as a nursing assistant for Lancaster General Hospital, Visiting Nurse Association, and in private home care. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Manheim. Laura was committed to her community by volunteering at the Manheim Library, as a School Aide at Burgard Elementary School, and helping at Health Fairs taking blood pressure. Her interests included: reading, sewing, crocheting, playing games, needlework, and painting. Laura was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed making cards for friends and relatives.

Surviving in addition to her husband Herb, are three daughters: Cerise D. Rosenberry of Mount Joy, Denise E. wife of Daryl Miller of Columbia, Bernice K. wife of Don Weller of Wrightsville, a son, Gregory J. husband of Linda Frey of Lititz, six grandchildren: Michelle, Patrice, Justin, Natasha, Shayn, Keyaira, eight great grandchildren: Hannah, Rebecca, Rachel, Madison, Marlie, Jace, Kenzie, Ivan, two brothers: Dale Greenly of Manheim, Glen husband of Darlene Greenly of Valrico, FL, and a sister, Ruth B. Zellers of Manheim. Preceding her in death is a grandson, Christopher Michael “Leaf” Elliott.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Laura’s funeral service at the Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, 48 Market Square, Manheim, on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:00 AM. There will be a viewing at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Manheim Fairview Cemetery.
