Larry V. Stoner, 70, of Manheim, died on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Manor Care, Lancaster, following a brief battle with cancer. Born in Manheim, he was the son of the late Wilbur K. and Anna Mae Miller Stoner. Larry was the husband of the late Elaine Dale Stoner who died in 2011. For many years, he worked for Scantron Corporation in Columbia; previously he was employed at the former Bickels Potato Chip Company and Fuller Company both of Manheim. Larry served in the U.S. Army National Guard for 38 years. His memberships included the Manheim VFW and the Germania Band Club. Larry enjoyed rooting for his favorite baseball team the Baltimore Orioles.
Surviving is a son, Brian S. husband of Angie Stoner of Mount Joy, a daughter Crystal L. Stoner of Mount Joy, three grandchildren: Monica, Samantha, Coralyn, a brother, Richard husband of Beverly Stoner of Elizabethtown, and a sister, N. Rita wife of Sheldon Murr of Manheim.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Larry’s funeral service from the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
