Larry L. Hess

March 7, 1950 — July 23, 2017

Larry L. Hess, 67, of Elizabethtown, died Sunday July 23, 2017 at the Hershey Medical Center. Born in Lancaster he was the son of the late Lester R. and Martha (Snyder) Hess. He was a graduate of Elizabethtown Area High School, class of 1969. Prior to a disability caused by muscular dystrophy, Larry had been a truck driver for various companies including Cope’s Corn in Rheems, and he was also employed in the maintenance dept. of Ridge View Farms.

Surviving is a son Jonathan L. husband of Mindy A. Hess, Queensbury NY; two granddaughters Gabriella D. & Lillian M. Hess; four sisters Lois wife of Rev. Barry Arnold, Lebanon, Joyce wife of Rev. Daryl Kuhns, Mount Pleasant Mills, Donna wife of Dan Fritz, Middleburg, Karen wife of Kent Brown, Hobe Sound FL, and a brother Dale E. husband of Kathy Hess, Orrville OH.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his graveside service at the Crossroads Brethren in Christ Cemetery, Donegal Springs Rd. & Union School Road, Mount Joy on Friday August 4, 2017 at 10:00 AM. There will be a public viewing at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 W. Main St. Mount Joy on Thursday Evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions in Larry’s memory may be sent to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 2040 Linglestown Road, suite201, Harrisburg PA 17110-9568.
