Kerry L. Sides

Kerry L. Sides, 60, of Manheim died unexpectedly of natural causes on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center Lititz. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of A. Lincoln and Virginia Reider Sides. For over 43 years Kerry worked as a mechanical technician for Johnson & Johnson Company in Lititz. In his early years he worked for Root's Nurseries Inc. Manheim. He was the loving husband of Cheryl A. Kauffman Sides and they observed their 32nd wedding anniversary in April of this year. Kerry was a member of Hemlock Field Archers of Lebanon. He enjoyed hunting and camping especially in Clinton County. His other interests included, golfing, cooking, rooting for the Steelers, Dale Earnhardt Jr., the Manheim Central Barons Football Team; and going to Ocean City Maryland during the Cruisin Car Show Event Week. Kerry had a life-long passion for his family and he was especially fond of his new family joy, the birth of his first granddaughter. Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Nathan A. husband of Kimberly A. Lull Sides of Lititz, a granddaughter, Kaylee Ann Sides, two brothers: Joel C. husband of Alice Sides, Alan L. husband of Janet Sides and a sister, Amy L. wife of Edward C. Ober all of Manheim. Preceding him in death is a sister, Lori Sides. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square, Manheim on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery, Rapho Township. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with additional visitation on Monday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
