Kenneth V. Heisey

Kenneth V. Heisey, 70, of Manheim, died peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Rapho Township, he was the son of the late David and Fannie Wolgemuth Heisey. For over 42 years Ken was employed for the Fuller Company Manheim. He was the husband of Delores J. "Cookie" Plows Heisey and they observed their 19th wedding anniversary in October of last year. Ken was a member of the Elstonville Sportsmen Association, the Germania Band Club of Manheim and the Manheim VFW Post 5956. He was an avid runner throughout his life and he enjoyed rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Kenneth Charles "Charlie" Heisey of Manheim, Kevin husband of Kristina Heisey of Ithaca, N.Y., two daughters: Angie wife of Jeff Hudson of Marietta, PA., Alison wife of Richard Banziger of Arlington, VA., a stepson, Larry husband of Alicia Geib of Manheim, twelve grandchildren, four brothers: David husband of Alice Heisey, Walter husband of Rachel Heisey all of Elizabethtown, Elwood husband of Mary Ann Heisey of Jonestown, Nelson husband of Joyce Heisey of Manheim, and a sister, Alice wife of Steve Geib of Brownstown. Preceding him in death is a brother, Eugene Heisey. A Tribute to Ken Heisey will be held at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square, Manheim on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 4:00 PM. The family encourages everyone to attend his tribute in casual attire. Friends will be received by the family at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 2:30 PM until the beginning of Ken's Tribute. Please omit flowers.
