Kenneth E. Shenenberger

Manheim

Kenneth E. Shenenberger, 90, of Manheim, went to meet Jesus and reunite with his wife, who was waiting for him on March 10, 2024.  Ken was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  He was the son of the late Arthur O and Esther White Shenenberger.  He was married for 68 years to his wife, Janice Brenenman Shenenberger before her passing on May 23, 2023.  Ken was a 1951 graduate of Manheim High School and a graduate of Stonier Graduate School of Banking.  He served in the US Army from 1956 to 1958.  He retired in 1996 as a senior vice president after 45 years of service to Fulton Bank.   Ken was an active and faithful member of Manheim Brethren in Christ Church, serving as greeter.  He was also a former member of Salem United Methodist Church where he served on the administrative board trustee, financial board secretary and the Eastern PA Board of Pensions.  He was the Treasurer of the Manheim Bicentennial Committee, the Manheim Youth Board (formally Oasis), Salvation Army Board and treasurer of Meals on Wheels for 22 years. 

  Ken had a deep love for his family, and cherished all the time he could spend with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.   He enjoyed playing Rec Basketball, softball and golfing.  He and Janice participated together in the senior games and in a bowling league for many years.  Ken and Janice traveled throughout the United States, and especially liked visiting in the Orlando Florida area.  There were many special family vacations at the New Jersey and Maryland Shores.  Ken enjoyed vegetable gardening and watching many sporting events.  He was a diehard Phillies and Manheim Central Barons fan.  

   Surviving are four daughters:  Pam wife of Jeff Ibach of Lititz, Beth wife of David Daniel of Manheim, Shenda Sensenich of Lititz, Stefne wife of Tony Shreiner of Manheim, two sons:  Dennis husband of Roxie Shenenberger of Manheim, Phil husband of Nina Shenenberger of Brogue, 15 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Edward Sensenich, and two brothers, Carl and Donald Shenenberger.  

  Funeral services for Ken will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery, Manheim. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Ken’s memory to: Manheim Farm Show, 502 Adele Avenue, Manheim, PA 17545, or Manheim Meals on Wheels, 140 North Penn Street, Manheim, PA 17545.
