Kenneth R. Bruner

August 31, 1933 — October 3, 2017

Kenneth R. Bruner, 84, formerly of Greenwood Lake, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. Born in Corbin, KY, Ken was the son of the late George and Grace Cornn Bruner. He was the loving husband the late Joyce Buccolo Bruner; his first wife was the late Gilda LaDisa Bruner. Ken was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean War. He was the owner and operator of Happy Landing Boat Marina, Greenwood Lake, NY., he later worked for the International Nickel Company, Sterling Forest, NY, where he was a Stationary Plant Engineer. Ken had a life-long passion for his beloved family and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved the water and being active on the lake where he would also go fishing and boating. Ken was a huge sports enthusiast and was a fan of the New York Yankees, Giants, and Rangers. In his younger days he participated in many sports, and coached sporting teams as well

Surviving are three sons: Douglas husband of Mary Bruner, Mark husband of Deb Bruner, Butch Bruner, a daughter; Jennifer Stewart, seven grandchildren, two great grandsons, two brothers; Jerry husband of Marilyn Bruner, Marshal Bruner and three sisters; Grace Duncan, Peggy Smith and Sylvia Zickel. Preceding him in death is a son, Michael Bruner, two sisters; Inas Otten, Jeannie Phelps and a sister-in-law; Kitten Bruner.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Ken’s Memorial Services at Harvest Bible Church, 1460 Eden Road Lancaster, on Saturday October 14, 2017 at 4:30 PM. Friends may visit with the family at the church immediately following the service. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Ken's memory to the Lititz Christian School Athletic Department, 501 West Lincoln avenue, Lititz, PA 17543.
