Kenneth L. Hiatt Sr., 83, of East Petersburg, passed away on Saturday March 10, 2012 at Conestoga View, Lancaster. Born in Kokomo, Indiana, he was the son of the late Chester D. and Vernia Deardorf Hiatt. He was the loving husband of Lucille Birkenbine Hiatt and they celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary in December of last year. Kenneth retired as a Pastor at the former Crossroads Bible Church, Quarryville after 30 years. Following retirement he was a self " employed shed hauler primarily for Gideon Stoltzfus, Gap. Kenneth graduated in 1964 from Lancaster Bible College. He had a love for cars and restoring old tractors. Surviving in addition to his wife are four children, Chet D. husband of Anna Hause Hiatt of Lancaster, Gloria Jean wife of Ray Leaman of Neffsville, Kenneth L. Jr. husband of Pat Hiatt of Mount Joy, and Kathy Hiatt, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and a sister Vera May Freese of Nottingham, PA. He was preceded in death by a son, Glen Hiatt, three brothers and two sisters. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square Manheim, on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Pastor David D. Allen officiating. Interment in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township. There will be a public viewing at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
