Kathy Greenwood, 62, of Lansdowne, and formerly of Manheim, died peacefully at home, and went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 22, 2012. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Lillian Marie Adamire Greenwood of Manheim, and the late James Greenwood. For thirteen years Kathy worked as a social services case work supervisor for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Catholic Services Department. Kathy was a graduate of Elizabethtown College with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work; she later received a Masters Degree in Social Work from Temple University. She was the loving wife of John A. Waldron, and they observed their 35th wedding anniversary in November of last year. Kathy was of the Episcopal Faith. She worked tirelessly for many years as a volunteer for the Gift of Life Donor Program in Philadelphia helping families with her social work experience. Her interests included: knitting, crocheting, needle point, and writing long letters to friends with her unique penmanship style. Surviving in addition to her husband, and mother, are two sisters: Lillian wife of John Michael of Manheim, and Audrey wife of Richard Lied of Denver. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at St. Paul's Episcopal Church 90 South Charlotte Street, Manheim, on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 4:00 PM. Interment will be in East Fairview Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Rapho Township. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday afternoon from 3:30 PM until the time of the service.
