Kathryn E. Wolfe

Kathryn E. Wolfe, 94, of Manheim, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim. Born in Elstonville, she was the daughter of the late Elmer K. and Rosa Garmen Summy. She was the wife for 59 years to the late Dale R. Wolfe who died in 2010 and her first husband the late S. Milford Shelly. Kathryn retired from the former Warner-Lambert Corp., Lititz. She was an active and faithful member of Jerusalem Church, Manheim where she was nursery attendant, active with the Women’s Guild and with church picnics and bazaars. Kathryn enjoyed flower gardening and going out to eat and drinking coffee with family and friends. She volunteered at Nearly-Nu Thrift Shop, Manheim and Pleasant View Retirement Community Thrift Shop. Kathryn also enjoyed traveling to their cabin in Perry County.
Mrs. Wolfe’s family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the family of Ephraim and Daisy Shelly for their kindness throughout the years.
Surviving are two daughters, Glenda L. wife of Clarence “Jack” Gantz of Denver, Judy S. wife of Larry Roth of Lititz, a son, Theodore S. husband of Sandra Shelly of Elizabethtown, eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, two brothers, Robert husband of Joan Summy of Manheim, John Summy of Myerstown, two sisters, Doris Stroud of Manheim and Janet Michael of Lititz. She was preceded in death by infant sister, Ruth Summy and a brother, Harvey Summy.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Penryn Cemetery. There will be a public viewing at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Kathryn’s memory to Bethany Children’s Home, 1863 Bethany Road, Womelsdorf, PA 19567.
