Kathryn D. Wenger, 95, formerly of West Newport Road, Lititz passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the Mennonite Home, Lancaster. Born in Penn Township, she was the daughter of the late Cyrus M. and Lydia Douple Bomberger. She was the wife of the late Noah S. Wenger who died in 1997 and her first husband; the late J. Willam Miksch Sr.
A homemaker, Kathryn was a member of Erb Mennonite Church, Lititz where she was involved with the sewing circle. She also enjoyed singing with the chorus at the Mennonite Home. Her interests included knitting, crocheting and puzzles.
Surviving is a brother, Martin husband of Verna Bomberger of Lititz, four grandsons, Ronald E. husband of Tina M., Wenger of Marietta, Larry L. husband of Donna S. Wenger of Mount Joy, J. Richard Wenger of Elizabethtown, Kenneth D. husband of Teresa Wenger of Middletown, twelve great grandchildren, seventeen great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, J. Melvin Wenger, two brothers, Homer and Phares Bomberger and three sisters, Elizabeth Groff, Anna Shelley and Amy Heisey.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at Erb Mennonite Church, 567 West Lexington Road, Lititz on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 10:30 AM. Interment in Stauffer Mennonite Cemetery, Conewago Township. There will be a public viewing at the church on Friday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Please omit flowers.
