Kathleen M. "Kathy" Slater

May 28, 1935 — March 6, 2016

Kathleen M. “Kathy” Slater, 80, of Manheim passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Clydebank, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Jane Gibbons McLaughlin. She was the loving wife of Andrew “Andy” Slater and they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in June. Kathy retired from the former Datcon Company, East Petersburg.

Surviving in addition to her husband are four children, Amanda Antes, Fiona wife of Kelly Matthews both of Manheim, Alexander Slater of Lancaster, Andrew husband of Shari Slater of Liverpool, sixteen grandchildren, one great granddaughter and a sister, Hermoine wife of Frank Lyden of Glenrothes, Scotland. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Christina Slater, Lorna Braun, four brothers and five sisters.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM. There will be a public viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Interment in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery, Rapho Township.
