Karl "Bill" W. Erikson

April 7, 1943 — August 9, 2013

Karl William “Bill” Erikson, 70, of Mount Joy, went home to be with the Lord Jesus on August 9, 2013. He was born on April 7, 1943 in Cooperstown, NY. He was the son of the late Karl and Gladys Erikson. He attended high school in Cobleskill, NY and was a proud graduate of the University of Georgia.
Bill was a lifelong educator and coach of 40 years. He taught in New York State before retiring at Elizabethtown Area High School in 2005. During his time teaching agriculture he also led many FFA teams to the Pennsylvania State and National Conventions and also served as the Pennsylvania FFA Executive Secretary. Bill had a farmer’s heart.
Bill attended and served at LCBC (Lives Changed By Christ), Manheim.

His greatest contribution was as a dear husband, father, grandfather, and teacher to many.
Grateful for sharing his life are his loving wife of 50 years Elaine, his daughter Kimberly wife of Dennis Funk, two sons Ryen, husband of Mary Erikson, and Keith Erikson and his fiancée Stephanie Hance; two sisters Kathy Anderson and Beth Smith, and his aunt Mildred Kilmer Monthie, 96. He has ten grandchildren Deija, Noelle, Kiah, Andrew, Audrey, Hannah, Ambur, Nathan, Izzy, and Waylon.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his celebration of life service at LCBC-Manheim, 2392 Mount Joy Road, Manheim PA, on Tuesday August 13, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. There will be a public viewing on Tuesday in the Loft Auditorium at LCBC from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Please use the Plaza Entrance. Interment at Old Stone Fort Cemetery, Schoharie, NY will be private.
