Justin T. “Little Rooty” Root, 21, of Lancaster, and formerly of Manheim; died Sunday, October 12, 2014. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Heidi J. Vital Root, fiancée of Daryl Spangler of Ephrata and Jerry K. Root, fiancé of Diane Breneman of Columbia. Justin was the owner and operator of Bumper Works Auto Body, Manheim. He attended Manheim Central High School, and the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center, Willow Street, where he completed the Auto Body Program of collision repair and auto reconditioning. He had a passion for all BMW automobiles. Justin’s interests included going to the beach at Ocean City, Maryland, skate boarding, hanging out with his friends, and making visits to spend time with the dogs and cats at the Humane League of Lancaster. Throughout life Justin made friends easily, he had a kind and gentle spirit and wanted to help anyone he met. He loved the quality time he had with his family; he will be truly missed and loved by all.
Surviving in addition to his parents, are two brothers: Michael E. Root of Lancaster, Earl J. Root of Ephrata, three sisters: Heather L. wife of Rick Davis of Manheim, Tiffany L. Root, and Brooke N. Schlotzhauer both of Ephrata. Justin will be lovingly missed by his long -time girlfriend, McKenzie Groff.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Justin’s celebration of life and remembrance service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 3:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 1:30 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
