June Y. Mitchell, 82, of Elizabethtown, died Thursday August 29, 2019 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. Born in Carbondale she was the daughter of the late Najam and Wohiba Modad. She was a graduate of Temple University School of Nursing and practiced as a nurse wherever she lived. June was a woman with varied tastes enjoying classical piano music as well as disco music and Pink Floyd. She also had many talents and enjoyed crafting jewelry, sewing, knitting, flower arranging and crocheting.
Surviving is a daughter Michelle, wife of David Paulnock of Fayetteville, PA; eight grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a daughter in-law Leah Mitchell of Venice, FL. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Frederick Niles Mitchell IV, and two brothers Richard and Allan Modad.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend June’s celebration of Life Service, at the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, on the grounds at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown on Thursday September 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will be in the Sell Memorial Columbarium immediately following the service. There will be a time of visitation with the family on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
