June M. Shelley

 June M. Shelley, 93, of Lititz, died peacefully on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Moravian Manor. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late David M. and Savilla Sheaffer Witmer. June was the loving wife of the late Dale E. Shelley who died in March of 2022 following 68 years of marriage. June received an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from Temple University; and worked many years as a Dental Hygienist for Dr. Minnich and Dr. Eshleman Dental Practices, in Lititz. June was the co-owner of the Back Porch Candle Shoppe in downtown Lititz. She was an active and faithful member of Lititz Moravian Congregation where she served as a Sunday school teacher in her early years. June was very active in the Lititz Community, with memberships in Gourmet Club, Lititz Women’s Club, Lititz Borough Historical Commission, and Lititz AMBUCS Chapter where she volunteered her sewing skills to make costumes for the AMBUCS Drama Productions. Her interests included: Jig Saw and Cross Word Puzzles, knitting, and was an enthusiastic Bridge player. She loved playing tennis and golf with her friends. June had a deep and abiding passion for her family; and treasured the time she could spend with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

 Surviving are three sons: Michael D. husband of Ruth Ellen Shelley, of Lititz, David “Chip” husband of Sandra Shelley of Lititz, Keith husband of Karen Shelley of Crossville, TN, seven grandchildren: Ryan, Kate, Kory, Danielle, Chad, Alex, Christina, and five great grandchildren: Jasper, Etta, Laila, Kobe, and Theodore. Preceding her in death are three brothers and four sisters. 

 Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend June’s Memorial Service at the Lititz Moravian Church, 8 Church Square, Lititz, on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family in Fellowship Hall at the church on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Following the luncheon downstairs in Fellowship Hall, interment will be in the Lititz Moravian Cemetery at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in June’s memory to the Lititz Moravian “The Book of Remembrance” or the “Lititz Moravian Archives Fund” 8 Church Square, Lititz, PA 17543.
