June S. Eshleman, 85, of Manheim, passed away quietly at Pleasant View Retirement Community on Sunday, June 16, 2013. Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late John and Eleanor Plasterer Seachrist. June was the loving wife of Harold E. Eshleman and they observed their 65th wedding anniversary in November of last year. June worked in the dietary department for area health care retirement communities; previously she was the owner with her husband of the former Copper Kettle Restaurant located on North Main Street Manheim. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Manheim, and was a Sunday school teacher in her early years. June was a member of the Manheim VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and volunteered for the 1962 Manheim Bi-Centennial Committee .Her interests included reading and traveling.
Surviving in addition to her husband, is a son, J. Michael husband of Terrie Bleyer Eshleman of Manheim, a daughter, Claudia R. wife of Terry Connelly of Manheim, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Preceding her in death is a son, C. David Eshleman, a sister, Violet Martin, and a brother, Eugene Seachrist.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 3:00 PM. Interment will be in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
