June E. Deemer, 74, of Lititz, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Esther Ravegum Hess. June was the loving wife of Larry L. Deemer and they would have observed their 54th wedding anniversary in June of this year. After 38 years June retired from Pfizer Corporation, formerly Warner Lambert of Lititz; previously she worked as a nurse’s aide for the Lancaster General Hospital. She was a faithful and active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Lititz. June’s memberships included: Lititz American Legion and VFW Auxiliary, Red Rose Snowmobile Club, Black Forrest “God’s Country” Snowmobile Club in Tioga County, and the NRA. June was a PA Snowmobile Safety Instructor. She loved going to car shows and traveling to Potter County to the family’s cabin called “The Money Pit”; to be in the outdoors where she enjoyed spotting Deer and Bears and other wildlife. Throughout her life, she loved animals of all kinds, especially her cats. She will be missed by her special cat called “Snickers”.
Surviving in addition to her husband Larry, is a son, Sean E. husband of Dorothy Deemer of Lititz, a grandson, Connor Deemer and a niece and a nephew. Preceding her in death is a brother, Jay Hess.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend June’s funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 216 South Broad Street, Lititz, on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 10:00 AM. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM with additional viewing on Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Ephrata.
