Joyce W. Mumau, 83, of Mount Joy, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Mount Joy, she was the daughter of the late William and Welma Wagner Garber. Joyce was the wife of the late Guy Mumau Jr. For many years she worked as a sales clerk for Sears Department Store, Lancaster. She attended LCBC Church, Manheim Campus, and was active with the Mount Joy Chapter of the Red Hat Society. Her interests included: reading, bird watching, flower gardening, watching sunsets, and making her famous fudge. Grandma Joyce loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving is a daughter, Kathleen Jo wife of Steve Wert of Elizabethtown, and their children: Shane and Cody husband of Sarah Wert; a son, Kenneth Joe Mumau of York and his children, Stephanie and Ashley; five great grandchildren, and a brother, William husband of May Lou Garber of Elizabethtown.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Joyce’s memorial service from the Buch Funeral Home, 21 West Main Street, Mount Joy, on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Henry Eberle Cemetery, Mount Joy. Please omit flowers.
