Joyce E. Schatz

Joyce E. Schatz, 82, of Manheim, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center, Lititz. Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late Francis W. and Olive Smith Hoffer. She was the loving wife of John W. Schatz and they celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in March. Joyce attended LCBC Church – Manheim and was a former member of Salem United Methodist Church, Manheim. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two children, Brian husband of Pamela Schatz and Cathy wife of J. Kevin Baker both of Manheim, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a brother, F. Kenneth husband of Cindy Hoffer of East Earl. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Charlotte M. Bires and Doris Hoffer.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 11:00 AM. There will be a public viewing at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM and again on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Joyce’s memory to the Manheim Church League Softball, 233 West High Street, Manheim, PA 17545.
