Joseph G. Cook, 96, of Elizabethtown, and formerly of Hazelton, PA and Drexel Hill, PA, died Wednesday January 9, 2013 at the Masonic Health Care Center, Elizabethtown. Born in Hazelton, he was the son of the late William and Jennie (Williams) Cook. He was the husband of Edith (Hildebrand) Cook, and they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in May 2012. Joe was a retired salesman for HAJOCA and PESCO Plumbing & Heating, both of Philadelphia. He was a graduate of Girard College H.S. of Philadelphia and proudly served during WW II with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel at the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown, and was Past Master of Oriental Lodge # 385 and Concordia Lodge # 67 of Philadelphia. Surviving in addition to his wife are several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger and Robert Cook, and two sisters, Jessie Davis and Jean L. Cook Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, PA on Wednesday January 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Gary George officiating. Interment with military honors will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. There will be a public viewing on Wednesday at Sell Chapel from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
