John J. Frill Jr.

John J. Frill Jr., 87, of Manheim and formerly of Sinking Spring passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, June 4, 2016. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late John J. Sr. and Elizabeth Kretz Frill. He was the loving husband of Phyllis A. Valentino Frill. They were looking forward to celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary in July. John retired as an electrician for IBEW Local 743, Reading. He graduated in 1946 from Reading High School and was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Glenn J., husband of Sonhui K. Frill of Manheim; two grandchildren, Melissa, wife of Michael Esterly, and Amanda Frill; two step-grandchildren, Kim, wife of Ehren Fairfield, and Joseph, husband of Ellary Gabriel; and one step-great granddaughter, Elnora. He was preceded in death by a son, Kerry F. Frill, and two sisters, Ella E. and Patricia J. Frill.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2810 St. Albans Drive, Sinking Spring on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 10:00 AM. There will be a public viewing at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Friday evening from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM with additional viewing at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass. Interment in Gethsemane Cemetery, Reading.
