John M. "Freddy" Frederick

January 4, 1964 — October 18, 2024

Lititz

John M. “Freddy” Frederick, of Lititz, passed away unexpectedly on Friday October 18th 2024. He was a class of 82 Warwick High School Graduate and a life-long resident of Lititz.

Known for his culinary skills, Freddy had a special gift for bringing people together whether it was a hearty meal prepared for his family or a feast shared with friends. He took great pride in his ability to cook, often using ingredients from his hunts to prepare his meals that will be remembered by many.

An avid outdoorsman, John found peace in the simplicity of the woods. He spent countless hours hunting, cherishing the quiet and the thrill of the pursuit. His knowledge of the outdoors was something he passed down to his children, who will continue to carry on his legacy.

John was the son of late Morris Frederick and Sue (Myers) Kotler. John is survived by his son Jonathan Frederick and his daughter Dava Frederick. He is also survived by his significant other Amy Kautz of Lititz, his sister Kathy Steffy, wife of Mike, his two nieces, Whitney Sickler and Brooke Billow and 4 great nephews, his step mother Lyn Frederick, his step sister Laura Kuty and his first grandchild expected in March.

Above all, John was a loving father and took immense pride in both of his children. The love for his children, his contagious smile, the joy he found in cooking, his adventurous spirit in the great outdoors and his famous “check it” will never be forgotten.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday November 3, 2024 from 1 PM-4 PM at the Lititz American Legion 109 N. Broad St. Lititz, PA 17543.
