John F. Loercher

March 12, 1923 — August 21, 2017

John F. Loercher, 94, of Manheim, passed away at home on Monday, August 21, 2017.
Born in Manheim, he was the son of the late William and Fanny Randler Loercher. He was the loving husband of Viola Ditzler Loercher and they celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary in March. John retired from the former Raymark Industries, Manheim. He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII and received several medals and bronze stars. John was a member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Manheim and he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, J. Timothy husband of Ruth Loercher of Manheim, Sharon L. wife of D. Bruce Wilson of Spring City, four grandchildren, Chad and Matthew Loercher, David Wilson, Jessica Hathaway and two great grandchildren, Alivia and Alexa Loercher. He was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Snyder and three brothers, Earl, Charles and Ray Loercher.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his graveside service at Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Sun Hill Road, Manheim on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in John’s memory to Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, 48 Market Square, Manheim, PA 17545 or Hospice & Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
