John F. Brosey, 74, of Lancaster, and formerly of Manheim, went to be with his Lord and Savior following a lengthy illness, on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Manor Care, Lancaster. Born in Mount Joy, he was the son of the late Frank B. Jr. and Violet M. Fisher Brosey. John was employed by High Steel Structures, Lancaster until his retirement; previously he worked for the Fuller Company, Manheim. He was a member of the Manheim Brethren In Christ Church. His interests included: completing the word puzzles in the daily paper, hunting, fishing, and going to the family cabin in Blaine. He had a life-long passion for his family and cherished the time he could be a part of his children’s activities, and especially taking time to read stories to all of his grandchildren.
Surviving is a daughter, Wanda Sue wife of Ronald Wolfe Jr. of Manheim, a son, Douglas J. husband of Shelly Brosey of Mountville, three grandsons and five granddaughters. Preceding him in death is a brother, Robert H. Brosey.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his graveside service at the Hernley Mennonite Cemetery, 746 Lebanon Road, Manheim, on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM.
