JoAnn B. Zug

East Petersburg

 JoAnn B. Zug, 81 of Manheim, died peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at the Lancaster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late Marlin E. and Martha Brungard Becker. JoAnn was the loving wife of the late Ronald D. “Zuggy” Zug who died in June of 1998 following 24 years of marriage. JoAnn worked many years in the Payroll and Accounting Department for RR Donnelly Corporation, Lancaster. She was an active and faithful member of Salem United Methodist Church, Manheim; where she volunteered with the Wednesday evenings supper programs at the church. She enjoyed crocheting, and was known for rescuing cats in her neighborhood. She was a tireless and passionate advocate for children with disabilities, working directly with the Lancaster Mental Health Community. Her family was extremely important to her; and she cherished all the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. 

 Surviving is a daughter, Erin Layser fiancée of Charles Campbell of East Petersburg, and two grandchildren: Eliza Layser and Andrew Layser. Preceding her in death is a son, Eric L. Zug, and two brothers: Larry “Noodle” Becker, and Marlin “Skip” Becker Jr. 

 Services for JoAnn will be private and at the convenience of the family.
