Jill M. Harris

Jill Marie Alvey Harris, 54, of Manheim, PA passed away December 3rd, 2013 at Hershey Medical Center. She was born in Salt Lake City, UT to James D and Judy Alvey.
In addition to her parents, Jill is survived by husband, Vernon Harris; sons, Dustin and Travis; 5 siblings; and 9 grandchildren.

Jill’s faith, grandchildren, and work with service dogs were her greatest passions. Her ironic outlook, though sometimes mistaken for abrasiveness, was her way of loving those around her.
Any contributions made to the ‘UDS Service Dogs’ Program in memory of Jill will be used to create the Jill Harris Scholarship Fund to help those who can’t afford the full cost of a service dog.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 7, at 11:00 am, at The Worship Center, 2384 New Holland Pike, Lancaster, PA with Pastor Don Neff officiating. Family will receive friends as early as 10:00 am.
