Jessie G. Connor, 82, of Columbia, formerly of Manheim, died peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2013 at Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster. She was the wife of the late Thomas R. Connor, Sr. who died in 1974. Born in Bainbridge, she was the daughter of the late William W. and Elizabeth G. (Ober) Brosey. Jessie work in the New Products Division at the former AMP Inc. of Mount Joy before retiring in 1995 with 22 years of service. Jessie had been a member of the Chiques United Methodist Church of Mount Joy, was an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling to different parts of the world with other AMP retirees.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas R. “Randy”, Jr. husband of Deb (Gockley) Connor of Columbia, Ronald E. Connor of Belleville, IL; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven step-great grandchildren; and a brother Clarence Brosey of Manheim. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at Chiques United Methodist Church, 1215 East Main St. Mount Joy, PA on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Milton Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall of the church.
