Jennifer L. Jury, 57, of Lancaster, died at her home on Saturday, April 27, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of Carol (Strohmetz) Koons and the late James S. Koons. After graduating from Hempfield High School Jennifer pursued studies at the University of Delaware and Millersville University. She was an excellent student and received recognition for her academic achievements and success.
A caring mother, Jennifer was undoubtedly driven by her love for her three children. She was extremely proud of their success and accomplishments. Jennifer was gifted in many areas, and this was regularly displayed in her uniquely intelligent wit and her widely varied artistic endeavors including drawing and painting. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, and was an authority on and collector of Sasha Morgenthaler dolls.
In addition to her mother, Jennifer is survived by her son, Logan M. Jury, husband of Cara (Bilheimer) Jury; two daughters, Erin M. Jury and Kaylin H. Jury; two grandchildren, Emerson and Lewis; and brother, David Koons. Jennifer is also survived by Lon K. Jury.
Throughout Jennifer’s adult life she exhibited strength, courage, and resilience as she faced overwhelming personal illness and travail. She will be forever loved and remembered for the talents and love she shared.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jennifer’s Celebration of Life Service on Friday August 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church 29 E. Walnut Street, Lancaster. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
