Jeanette E. Mimi Hanna, 77, of Elizabethtown Road, Manheim, died peacefully surrounded by her family at her home on Sunday, June 27, 2010.
Born and raised in West Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Mariana. A homemaker, Jeanette was the wife of Richard W. Hanna. Her first husband was the late John A. Dougherty. Mimi was of the catholic faith, and attended St. James Catholic School, in Philadelphia. Her interests, included: cooking, baking, canning, vegetable gardening, and traveling with her family to the beach at Town Bank, New Jersey. Her passion was her family, and spending time with her children, and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband are seven sons: John A. Dougherty of Lititz, William F. husband of Sheri Dougherty of Manheim, Joseph E. Dougherty of Willow Street, Thomas A. husband of Trish Sharp of Garnet Valley, James R. Hanna, Keith M. husband of Linda Hanna, Richard P. husband of Trudy Hanna all of Manheim, three daughters: Barbara A. Gantz of Lititz, Patricia A. Dougherty of Manheim, and Melissa A. Garvey of Manheim, twenty-one grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, a brother, Jake husband of Annie Mariana of Philadelphia, and two sisters: Yolanda Moleski of Philadelphia, and Joan wife of Leo Cassidy of New Jersey. Preceding her in death were five sisters and one brother.
Relatives and friends are respected invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square Manheim on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 3:30 PM with the Reverend Francis T. Menei officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be a public viewing at the Buch Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon from 2:30 PM until the time of the service.
