Jay Richard Moyer

Jay Richard Moyer, 73, formerly of Lebanon Road, Manheim, died peacefully following a brief illness on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim.

Born in Manheim, he was the son of the late Raymond H. and Mabel K. Moyer. Richard helped on the family farm and later was a volunteer at the Pleasant View Retirement Community. He was a member of Hernley Mennonite Church Manheim. Surviving are two sisters: A. Jean Shonk of Manheim, Betty A. wife of Thomas Wirt of Lewiston, Minnesota, three nephews and two nieces.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service from the Hoffer Auditorium at Pleasant View Retirement Community 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim, on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery, Rapho Township. There will be a viewing at the Hoffer Auditorium on Monday evening from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM with additional viewing on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
