Jay M. Heisey, 60, of Manheim passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Mary Ellen Haines Heisey of Lititz and the late Martin Heisey. He was the loving husband of Karen J. Long Heisey and they celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary in June. Jay owned and operated his farm in Rapho Township. He also enjoyed carpentry. Jay attended Manheim Brethren In Christ Church. His passion in life was his family and he loved to spend time with his grandchildren, especially giving them four-wheeler rides. Jay also enjoyed the outdoors and his love for animals.
Surviving in addition to his wife are five children, Stephanie wife of Tony Barnhart of Manheim, Tara wife of Chris Showalter of Denver, Renee wife of Mikael Kristiansen of Baltimore, Jenna wife of Michael Logan of Manheim and Jordan Heisey of Manheim, nine grandchildren, Weston, Sierra, Leah and Wyatt Barnhart, Gretchen, Allyson and Brayden Showalter, Freya and Fiona Kristiansen. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cheyenne Barnhart.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jay’s Life Celebration Service at Manheim Brethren In Christ Church, 54 North Penryn Road, Manheim on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at 4:00 PM. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 2:00 PM until the time of service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Jay’s memory to Manheim Brethren In Christ Church, Dorcas Fund, 54 North Penryn Road, Manheim, PA 17545.
