Janice Johnson

Janice Johnson, 62, of Manheim and formerly of Long Island, NY passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Iris Wainwright Crowder. She was the loving wife of James Vincent “Jimmy” Johnson and they celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in September of last year. Janice worked as an LPN for 17 years at Pediatrics Services of America, Harrisburg. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her precious grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband are four children, Sean husband of Victoria McLoughlin of Elizabethtown, Shannon wife of Mark Dantuono of Kings Park, NY, Christopher James husband of Christine Johnson of NY and Alan husband of Cassie Johnson of NJ; Meme’s precious ten grandchildren, Shane, Isabella, Caleigh, Ryan, Noah, Elexis, Emily, Maddie Rae, Layla and Chase, a sister, Pattie wife of Harold “Hap” Wucher of Manheim and brother, Steven Crowder of Cornwall.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Mary Mother of the Church, 625 Union School Road, Mount Joy, PA on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM. There will be a public viewing at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Wednesday from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and again at the church on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family at a later date.
