Janice B. Auker, 69, of Lititz, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Clair W. and Dorothy “Dottie” Gochnauer Buch. Janice was the loving wife of Irvin “Lee” Auker and they observed their 50th wedding anniversary in April of this year. Janice worked in the office for Armstrong World Industries, Marietta Plant for 13 years; previously she was employed by the Fuller Company, Manheim. She enjoyed crocheting, making afghans, and blankets for family and friends. In her younger years Janice loved to go swimming, dancing, and ride horses. Janice had a passion for reading and enjoyed playing card games.
Surviving in addition to her husband Lee, is a daughter, Michele A. wife of Adam Witman of Maytown, and a granddaughter, Reagan Witman.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Janice’s funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 10:30 AM. There will be a viewing on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery.
