Janet M. Bender

            Janet M. Bender, 81, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Lancaster Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Sellard) Flora. She was a member of Ruhl’s United Methodist Church, Manheim. Janet enjoyed playing board games, listening to music and dancing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

            Surviving are two sons, David C. husband of Nicole (Kready) Hardy of Manheim, Joseph W. husband of Wendy (Lu) Hardy of Sykesville, MD, six grandchildren, a sister, Gerry Gontz of Lancaster, and a nephew, Todd Gontz. She was preceded in death by a nephew, John Samson.
