Jane L. Pennell

Jane L. Pennell, 76, of South Delta Street, Mount Joy, died following a brief illness on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late, Arthur and Dorothy Darrenkamp Walton. Jane worked for the former Lancaster Leaf and Tobacco Company and was a monitor for the former Johnsons Bus Service Elizabethtown. She was the wife of the late, Edward A. Pennell who died in January 2008. Jane was a member of the Mount Joy Church of God. Her interests included drawing, and flower gardening. Jane had a passion for her family, and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Jane will be lovingly missed by five daughters: Patricia wife of Charles Taylor of North Garden, VA, Ellie wife of Garry Seiders of Front Royal, VA., Debbie wife of Kevin Long of Mount Joy, Debra Jean wife of Robert Sauders of Landisville, Linda wife of Jaye LeFevre of Galeton, CO; two sons: James Rowe companion of Toni Haldeman of Manheim, Edward Arthur Pennell of Mount Joy, 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, a brother, Barry husband of Karen Walton of Holtwood, a sister, Sarah Roberts of Phenix, AL., and by her faithful companion dog, Lady. Preceding her in death is a daughter, Sandra Jane Fegley, a brother, Arthur Walton, Jr. and a sister, Doris Herr.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to her memorial service at the Heilig Funeral Home, 21 West Main Street, Mount Joy on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 1:00 PM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
