Jane E. Ammon, 82, of Lititz/Manheim, died peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the Mount Hope Nazarene Retirement Community, Manheim. Born in West Cocalico Township, she was the daughter of the late, James and Lizzie Harding Pannebecker. A homemaker, she was the wife of the late Paul W. Ammon who died in May of 2003. Jane was a member of Salem Lutheran Church of Kissel Hill, Lititz. Her interests included: big band music, jigsaw puzzles, reading, needle point, and camping. Jane was a devoted passionate fan who followed the Philadelphia Phillies Baseball, Philadelphia Eagles, and Penn State Football teams.
Surviving is a daughter, Carol Ammon of Manheim, a daughter, Vicki L. Bradley of Lititz, a daughter, Lori wife of Thomas Becker of Lititz, a son, James husband of Cheryl Ammon of Elizabethtown, a daughter, Paula A. wife of Dennis Shelly of Lititz, a son, Jeff husband of Judy Ammon of Lancaster, nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and a brother, Willis husband of Faye Pannebecker of Stevens. Preceding her in death are eight brothers, three sisters, a son-in-law, Richard Bradley, and Vance Lawrence.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Salem Lutheran Church of Kissel Hill, 26 Owl Hill Road, Lititz, on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 3:00 PM. There will be a viewing at the church on Thursday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
