James L. "Jim" Sweigart

           James L. “Jim” Sweigart, 63, of Manheim passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Lester H. and Gloria Lerch Sweigart. He was the loving husband of Pauline M. Kahley Sweigart and they observed their 32^nd wedding anniversary this past August. Jim was a truck driver for over 43 years at EE Shenk Sons, Inc., Elizabethtown. He was a member of the Elizabethtown American Legion Post 329 and Elstonville Sportsman’s Association, Manheim.

            Surviving in addition to his wife are four children: James L. husband of Joanne Sweigart of Greeley, Colorado, Jonathan S. husband of Courtney Sweigart of Landisville, James A. III husband of Christy Christian of Lititz and Emily R. wife of Doug Miller of Manheim; eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a sister, Patsy L. Heistand of Lititz, two nieces, a nephew and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
