James A. “Jimmy” Boyer, 73, of Lancaster, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Rufus and Elva Bryan Boyer. Jimmy was a passionate fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Professional Wrestling, and Elvis Presley. Known for his outgoing personality, Jimmy would walk around the neighborhood in Lancaster and visit with people at the Manor Shopping Center; especially stopping in at the local grocery store, banks, or talking with his favorite police officers on patrol.
Surviving is a sister, Jennie High of Mountville, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are five brothers: Harold, Paul, Lester, Rufus, Kenneth Boyer, and three sisters; Rhoda Baxter, Rose Kreidler, and Mary Bernice Boyer.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jimmy’s graveside service at the Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Sun Hill Road, Manheim, on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 3:30 PM.
