Jack E. Detwiler, 91, of Manheim, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Pleasant View Communities, Manheim. Born in York, he was the son of the late Stewart and Florence Keeney Detwiler. He was the loving husband of the late Patsy Evans Detwiler, devoted to her care until she passed away in 2018. Jack retired from the Manheim Central School District as the Superintendent of Maintenance. He was a current member of Ruhl's United Methodist Church, Manheim, where he served on the board of trustees. Prior to joining Ruhl's Church, he was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Manheim, and volunteered on several committees. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed travel around the US with Patsy. Upon retirement he utilized his sheet metal working skills to make hand crafted exterior light fixtures.
Surviving is a daughter, Linda L. wife of Rodger Brown, Penryn, a son, Barry E. Detwiler, Goffstown, NH, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by two sons, Todd and Douglas Detwiler, a brother, Dawson Detwiler, and a sister, Donna Lou Petters.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jack's Funeral Service at Ruhl's United Methodist Church, 4810 Elizabethtown Road, Manheim, on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing at Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Sunday March 13, 2022 from 3:00 PM till 5:00 PM and again at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment in Manheim Fairview Cemetery.
