J. Richard Nauman

J. Richard Nauman, 82, formerly of Lebanon Road, Manheim, died surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim. Born in Manheim, he was the son of the late Jacob W. and Elizabeth Good Nauman, and the step son of the late Florence Shearer Nauman. Richard was the loving husband of Ella H. Bauman Nauman and they observed their 62nd wedding anniversary in November of last year. A professional truck driver, Richard worked for Fabral Corporation, Lancaster, until his retirement. He was a member of Hernley Mennonite Church, Manheim.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are three daughters: Janice E. wife of Jerry L. Snavely of Manheim, Jean L. wife of Kenneth S. Hershey of Rochester, MN., Jane L. wife of Dennis A. Getz of Lancaster, five grandchildren, three great grandsons, a brother, Donald O. husband of Erla Nauman of Manheim, and a sister-in-law, Miriam Nauman of Sarasota, FL. Preceding him in death is a brother, Kenneth E. Nauman.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Hernley Mennonite Church, 746 Lebanon Road, Manheim, on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 2:00 PM. There will be a viewing in the Hoffer Auditorium at the Pleasant View Retirement Community, 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim, on Saturday evening from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM with additional viewing at the church on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
