Isabelle Boone

Isabelle Boone, 86, of Elizabethtown, and formerly of Oreland, PA died Monday July 30, 2012. She was the wife of the late Wilkerson "Bill" Boone who died in 2011. Born in Greensburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late William Ralph and Isabelle Grace (Boettner) Johnston. Isabelle worked as a registered nurse at Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia. When she retired, they moved to Ocala, Florida until 1998. She & Bill returned to the Lancaster area and resided at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown for the past 14 years. She worshiped at the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel.Isabelle enjoyed bowling, billiards, playing cards with her friends, cooking, and gardening. Her grandchildren thought she was the best cook. She had fond memories of camping with family and friends throughout her life traveling to many corners of the world. Surviving are two daughters, Linda Diane, wife of James N. McCullough of Port Angeles, WA, Sandy, wife of Roger E. Banko of Preston, MD, three grandchildren, and her twin sister Patricia Johnston of Lititz. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she cherished. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a sister Jayne Allen. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Memorial Service at the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, at Masonic Village of Elizabethtown on Saturday September 8, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will be private. There will be a time of visitation with the family on Saturday at Sell Chapel from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
