Irene B. Heisey

Irene B. Heisey, 87, of Mount Joy, died peacefully Saturday August 4, 2012 at the United Zion Retirement Community, Lititz. Born in Mount Joy she was the daughter of the late Elmer C. and Florence G. (Dommel) Bailey. She was the widow of the late Clarence J. Heisey who died in 1994. Irene was a devoted homemaker, an avid reader, and enjoyed playing the organ. She was a member of the Mount Joy Church of God. Surviving are two daughters Judy Hurst of Manheim, Ann wife of Mike Rider of Cornwall; three sons Thomas C. husband of Mary Ellen Heisey of Phoenixville, Lynn B. husband of Pat Heisey of Nashville, TN, Gary L. husband of Brenda Heisey of Cornwall; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister Ruth E. wife of Pedro Casillas of El Monte, CA. In addition to her husband and parents Irene was preceded in death by two brothers Charles W. and Robert L. Bailey. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Heilig Funeral Home, 21 W. Main St. Mount Joy, PA on Wednesday August 8, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. Interment will be in Mount Joy Cemetery. There will a public viewing on Wednesday at the funeral home from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the services. In lieu of flowers contributions in Irene's memory may be sent to the Susquehanna Association for the Blind and Vision Impaired, 244 N. Queen Street, Lancaster PA 17603.
