Inez K. Tomlinson, 85, of Manheim, died peacefully at home on Thursday, April 25, 2024. Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Lois McCullough Keefer. A homemaker, Inez was the wife of the late George Tomlinson who died in February of 2020. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran church, Manheim, and was active in the choir, Sunday school and volunteered in the nursery in her early years. For many years Inez enjoyed being a part of the Red Hat Society and had an interest in collecting dolls. She will be lovingly missed by her dog, Gem.
Inez’s life was devoted to children. She was a passionate advocate for the humanitarian treatment and care for children of all ages and abilities. In the 1980’s Manheim Sertoma Club presented the Service to Mankind Award to Inez for her untiring effort, support, and promotion for the adoption of children, speaking with many groups in Central Pennsylvania. She lived the life of advocacy, welcoming children into her home, and encouraging educational institutions and organizations to help children with special needs and abilities. Inez deeply loved her family and was devoted to all her children; she had a true servant’s heart.
