Howard J. Sunday, 87, of Lititz, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 8, 2014. Born in Kutztown, he was the son of the late Walter R. and Lillie Schapell Sunday. He enjoyed 62 happy years of marriage to “the same woman” (as he would say) Evelyn. He worked in construction for TAH and later for 18 years at YBI.

Howard loved God and joyfully lived his faith. He served the Fruitville Pike Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses as an elder for more than 50 years. He was also happy to use his organizational and construction skills to volunteer in numerous Kingdom Hall, Branch, and Disaster Relief projects.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four children and their spouses: Brenda and Steve(KY), Denise and Tom(PA), Brian and Desiree(PA), and Lisa(PA); three favorite grandchildren: Christopher, Anita and Melissa(PA); and three sisters: Hattie, Jane, and Jean, all of Berks County, PA. He was preceded in death by eight sisters and two brothers.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Howard’s memorial service at the Grantville Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Howard’s memory to Jehovah’s Witnesses c/o Grantville Assembly Hall, 9708 Allentown Blvd., Grantville, PA 17028.
