Hester Ann “Hettie” Wolfe, 91, of Brethren Village, died peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2017. Born in Point Marion, she was the daughter of the late John J. Jr. and Helen Ewing Harding. Hettie was the loving wife of the late Dr. Charles H. Wolfe who passed away in 2014 after 70 years of marriage. Hettie graduated from Point Marion schools and attended Indiana State Teacher’s College. She and her husband moved to East Petersburg in 1956 where Dr. Wolfe began his dental practice and where Hettie worked as a receptionist. Hettie had previously worked for the United States Government for 13 years in West Virginia, Texas, and Pennsylvania. She was active in the Lancaster County Dental Auxiliary, and participated in various local organizations. Hettie was an avid needle-woman and seamstress. Her hobbies were music, travel, reading, and sewing. Hettie was of the protestant faith. Private interment will take place in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
