Henry L. Hoffer

July 12, 1947 — November 5, 2017

Henry L. Hoffer, 70, of Manheim, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017, with his loving wife and sons by his side at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Chester S. and Kathryn E. Bamberger Hoffer. He was the husband of Diane Mummau Hoffer and they celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary in September. Retired in 2008, Henry worked at Johnson & Johnson, Lititz for forty years. He was a member of East Fairview Church of the Brethren, Manheim where he served several years on the Stewardship team. Henry proudly served in the United States Army with the 4th Bn. 9th Inf. 25th Div. ”Manchu” during the Vietnam War. He was a past member of Dry Hollow Hunting Camp #2. Henry enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and biking and he loved to spend time with his family at their cabin in Huntingdon County.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Brian husband of Angela Lockard Hoffer of Mount Joy, Steven husband of Jamie Fisher Hoffer of Maytown, two grandchildren, Jarret and Callie and three siblings, Clair husband of Beth Ann Hoffer of Manheim, Joyce wife of Jerry Brandt of Manheim and Karen McBeth of Carlisle.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at East Fairview Church of the Brethren, 1187 Fairview Road, Manheim on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Henry’s memory to Aaron’s Acres, 1861 Charter Lane, Suite 114, Lancaster, PA 17601.
