Henry J. "Hank" Schuren, 79 of Manheim passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim. Born in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Henry J. Sr. and Anna Laratta Schuren. He was the loving husband of Janet Krais Schuren. Surviving in addition to his wife is a sister, Eugenia wife of Paul Schott of Thompson, PA, a brother, Robert Schuren of Nutley, NJ and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Schuren proudly served our country for four years in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After attending Newark College of Engineering, he worked as a draftsman, and later worked for the US Postal Service. Henry also was a freelancer for the Science Editor of Popular Mechanics magazine. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Lititz and Knights of Columbus, NJ. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Hoffer Auditorium, 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Father James O'Blaney as celebrant. Interment in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township. There will be a public viewing at Hoffer Auditorium on Monday from 2:00 PM " 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM " 8:00 PM and again on Tuesday at Hoffer Auditorium from 9:30 AM until the time of service.
