Helen Fianna Witman Sangrey, 97, of 28 North Grant Street Manheim passed away at home on Tuesday, December 29, 2009.
Born in Elizabethtown, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Edna Fisher Witman. Helen was the wife of the late Benjamin Sangrey who died in 1979.
She worked forty-two years at the former Raymark Industries, Manheim. A graduate of the former Manheim High School, Helen was also a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Manheim. Her interests included bowling, reading, cross-stitching and word search puzzles. She loved to spend time with her family and attend her great grandchildrens sporting events.
Surviving is a granddaughter, Gwen R. wife of Charlie S. Shireman of Manheim; three great grandchildren, Kyle, Karissa and Brett and a sister, Elizabeth Witman of Lititz. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Bates Heisey and a sister, Dorothy Witman.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Memorial Service at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square Manheim on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Jacquie Sheely officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
