Helen Demmy Gibble, 88, of Penryn passed away peacefully on Friday, January 6, 2012 at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim. Born in Penn Township, she was the daughter of the late Hiram and Minnie Ruhl Demmy. She was the wife of the late James Gibble who died in 1991. Helen worked as a seamstress at the former Colebrook- Terry Manufacturing, Brownstown and Akron and the former Par-mat, Manheim. She was a member of Jerusalem Church, Penryn and a former member of the Penryn Fire Company Auxiliary. Helen enjoyed traveling on weekends to watch stock car races at the former Reading Fair Grounds. She was an avid Nascar Racing fan; especially watching her favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. Helen also enjoyed listening to country music; especially George Strait. She loved to call and talk to DJ Michael C. Anthony from 101 The Rose radio station. Surviving are two daughters, Connie G. wife of Richard E. Martin and Mary A. Givler both of Penryn, three grandchildren, Shannon Lee husband of Jeri Martin of Penryn, Gail wife of Sean T. Warner of West Chester, James Vincent Martin husband of Raina Colton of Summerville, South Carolina and ten great grandchildren, Ashley, Kelsie, Reilly, Colin, Nina, Jack, Jude, Kelly, Raquel, and Ashton. She was preceded in death by one precious angel, Reeni and a brother, Clayton Demmy. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her graveside service at the Penryn Cemetery, Penn Township on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 11:30 AM with Pastor Timothy Heritage officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
